Good Nutrition During Pregnancy

Good nutrition during pregnancy is vital for you and your unborn child.

Picture of pregnant woman eating fruitHere are some eating tips:

Eat breakfast every day. If you wake up feeling nauseous, snack on a piece of whole wheat toast or whole grain cracker before eating the rest of your breakfast.

Eat high-fiber foods and drink plenty of water. This can help prevent the constipation that many women have during pregnancy.

Keep healthy foods, such as fresh fruit and nuts, on hand.

If you have heartburn, eat small meals more often, and avoid spicy and fatty foods. Also, drink between meals instead of with meals, and don’t lie down right after eating.
